INTRODUCED BY Mr. Sharpe DATE: May 13, 2013 BILL NO 9181 ORDINANCE NO 6914 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 10, VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, TO REVISE VARIOUS TRAFFIC REGULATIONS AS PROVIDED HEREIN BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 10.44.010 of Chapter 10, Vehicles and Traffic, of the University City Municipal Code is amended as provided herein. Language to be deleted from the Code is represented as stricken through. This Ordinance contemplates no revisions to the Code other than those so designated; any language or provisions from the Code omitted from this Ordinance is represented by an ellipsis and remains in full force and c' effect. Section 2. Section 10.44.010 of the University City Municipal Code is hereby amended to eliminate a parking restriction on a section of Clemens Ave from Westgate Ave to Interdrive, as follows: 10.44.010 - Parking prohibited on certain streets at all times. The following streets or parts of streets are designated as places where the parking of vehicles is prohibited at all times: Clemens-Avenue:-North side thereof from Westgate Avenue east to Interdrive Walk. • Section 3. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of the sections revised by this amendment nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this s' ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1.12, section 1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law. PASSED THIS 28th day of May, 2013. Page 1 of 2
