Where carrying out the provisions of this Code will significantly alter the historic or architectural character of an existing structure that has been officially designated by the State of Missouri or by the City of University City as a historic building, property or landmark, the Code official upon application of the owner or the owner's representative, shall vary, modify or waive such provisions based on a finding that the public interest in health, safety and welfare will be served by such action. (SECTION 103 DEPARTMENT OF PROPERTY MAINTENANCE INSPECTION) 103.1 General. The term "department of property maintenance inspection" whenever employed herein shall be construed to mean the Department of Community Development of the City of University City, Missouri. The term "Code Official" shall be 3 construed to mean the Building Commissioner of the City of University City, Missouri, or the duly authorized representative of the Building Commissioner. 103.5 Fees. The fees for activities and services performed by the department in carrying out its responsibilities shall be as indicated in the following schedule.
