gtg INTRODUCED BY Ms. Carr DATE: November 25, 2013 I` BILL NO 9215 ORDINANCE NO 6946 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 10, VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, TO REVISE VARIOUS TRAFFIC REGULATIONS AS PROVIDED HEREIN BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 10.44.020 of Chapter 10, Vehicles and Traffic, of the University City Municipal Code is amended as provided herein. Language to be deleted from the Code is represented as stricken . Language to be added to the Code is emphasized. This Ordinance contemplates no revisions to the Code other than those so designated; any language or provisions from the Code omitted from this Ordinance is represented by an ellipsis and remains in full force and effect. Section 2. Section 10.44.020 of the University City Municipal Code is hereby amended to eliminate a parking restriction on a section of University Drive across from 7424, 7426, & 7430 University Dr. and adjacent to 365 West Point Ct, as follows: 10.44.020 - Parking prohibited on certain streets during designated hours. The following streets or parts of streets are designated as places where parking is prohibited during the time set forth in this section within the meaning of the title: University Drive: On the north side thereof from Hanley Road to a point one-hundred- thirty-six (136) feet east of the east curb line of Alta Dena Court and from Jackson Avenue to West Point Court, between the hours of nine a.m. and eleven a.m. on every day of the week except Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Section 3. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of the sections revised z by this amendment nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1.12, section 1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law. Page 1 of 2
