INTRODUCED BY Mr. Glickert DATE: January 13, 2014 <br /> BILL NO. 9219 ORDINANCE NO. 6950 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A SECTION OF CHAPTER 10, VEHICLES AND <br /> TRAFFIC, TO REVISE TRAFFIC REGULATION AS PROVIDED HEREIN <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Section 10.44.010 of Chapter 10, Vehicles and Traffic, of the University City <br /> Municipal Code is amended as provided herein. Language to be deleted from the Code <br /> is represented as <br /> language to be added to the Code is emphasized. <br /> This Ordinance contemplates no revisions to the Code other than those so designated; <br /> any language or provisions from the Code omitted from this Ordinance is represented <br /> by an ellipsis and remains in full force and effect. <br /> Section 2. Section 10.44.010 of the University City Municipal Code is hereby amended <br /> to create a parking restriction on a section of the north side of Delmar Blvd east of North <br /> and South Rd., as follows: . <br /> 10.44.010 - Parking prohibited on certain streets at all times. <br /> The following streets or parts of streets are designated as places where the parking of <br /> vehicles is prohibited at all times: <br /> } <br /> Delmar Boulevard--North Side: From a point two hundred ninety-five (295) feet west <br /> of North and South Road to a point two hundred forty (240) feet east <br /> of North and South Road; from a point two hundred sixty-five (265) feet west of Hanley <br /> Road to a point two hundred sixty (260) feet east of Hanley Road; from a point two <br /> hundred seventy-five (275) feet west of Jackson Avenue to a point four hundred forty <br /> (440) feet east of Jackson Avenue; from a point one hundred thirty-five (135) feet west <br /> of Midland Boulevard to a point one hundred twenty-five (125) feet east of Midland <br /> Boulevard; from a point one hundred (100) feet west of Yale Avenue to the Lion <br /> Monuments; at such other locations as the city manager or his or her designee may <br /> designate and deem necessary for the safety or convenience of the public, provided an <br /> official sign has been erected prohibiting parking there." <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or <br /> corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of the sections revised <br /> by this amendment nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. <br /> Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter <br /> 1.12, section 1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
