INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Glickert DATE: January 27, 2014 <br /> BILL NO. 9222 ORDINANCE NO. 6952 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI; REPEALING <br /> SECTION 2.28.090 OF CHAPTER 2.28 OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION 2.28.090. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br /> MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The Missouri Revised Statutes do no expressly require certain professional <br /> requirements of the members of the Board of Adjustment. As such, the City wishes to <br /> remove such professional requirements from the City's Board of Adjustment <br /> membership. Such amendment will make Section 2.28.090 consistent with Chapter <br /> 2.42 governing the Board of Adjustment. <br /> Section 2. Section 2.28.090 of Chapter 2.28 of Title II of the City of University City, <br /> Missouri Municipal Code, is hereby repealed and a new Section 2.28.090 is hereby in <br /> acted in lieu thereof to read as follows: <br /> Section 2.28.090 - Board of adjustment <br /> The board of adjustment hears and determines all appeals for variances in zoning <br /> matters, as provided by the City Charter and under state law. The board has five citizen <br /> members. There are also three alternate members. The term of office is five years. For <br /> more information see Chapter 2.42. <br /> Section 3.
