J <br /> INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Sharpe DATE: June 9, 2014 <br /> BILL NO. 9229 ORDINANCE NO.6959 <br /> AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A FIFTEEN FEET <br /> WIDE NORTH/SOUTH PUBLIC ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED <br /> ADJACENT TO THE WEST BOUNDARY OF LOT 1 OF BOSCHERT'S <br /> ADDITION TO CLAYTON SUBDIVISION AND ADJACENT TO THE EAST <br /> BOUNDARY OF BLOCK 4 OF DELPRICE SUBDIVISION; RESERVING <br /> ANY PUBLIC EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE <br /> BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF <br /> ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> WHEREAS, the above said north-south public alley right-of-way is in University City, in <br /> St. Louis County, Missouri; and <br /> WHEREAS, said public alley right-of-way is unimproved and does not provide public <br /> benefit; and <br /> WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to be held by the City Council of the City of <br /> University City at City Hall on June 9, 2014, at 6:30 p.m., to hear any comments concerning the <br /> proposed vacation of above said north/south public alley right-of-way was duly published in the <br /> St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within said City, on May 24, 2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, the public hearing was held at the time and place specified in said notice, <br /> and all comments concerning the vacation of the above said north/south public alley right-of-way <br /> was duly heard and considered by the City Council. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The 15-foot wide by 187.88-foot long portion of said north/south public <br /> alley right-of-way is located adjacent to the west property line of 8694 W. Kingsbury Avenue, <br /> the north property line of 7 Loren Woods Drive, and the east property lines of 8700 and 8704 W. <br /> Kingsbury Avenue and located within the City of University City in St. Louis County, Missouri, <br /> and all-o-f the City of University City's right, title and interest therein hereby vacated, <br /> surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving, however, all public utility easements, if any.
