RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the general election of November 7, 2000, the voters of St. Louis County and of St. <br />Louis City will have the opportunity to vote for the approval of MSD Propositions #1, #2, #3 and <br />#4, which will make the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District more accountable to the public and <br />provide it with the financial tools it needs to keep the region' s water supply clean; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the MSD Plan, which voters adopted in 1954 outlines the duties, responsibilities <br />and powers of the District, has not been updated since adoption; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the four amendments will allow the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to <br />enhance its service to 1.4 million customers and continue to safeguard the health and safety of all <br />of the people of the St. Louis region; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, MSD Propositions #1, #2, #3, and #4 will accomplish all of this with out any <br />increase in taxes or fees; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, goes on record in support of MSD Propositions #1, #2, #3, and #4, and encourages its <br />residents to go to the polls on November 7m and support the health and safety of their families and <br />neighborhoods by voting "YES" for MSD Propositions #1, #2, #3, and #4. <br /> <br />· <br />Passed this ~0 dayof October 2000 ~_-~-L~" ~ <br /> <br />City Clerk ~ "~ ""'-- ..... . <br /> <br /> <br />
