Beth Martin
410 Melville

I am here to speak about one issue in particular. I am frustrated with two statements I
read over the weekend.

Mayor Welsch I was forwarded an email over the weekend in which you stated:

Mr. Kraft did not throw a water bottle at a resident. I was standing by Steve and
the resident after a Council meeting when this was supposed to have happened
this did not happen as alleged.

Councilman Kraft most certainly did throw a water bottle at a resident that resident was
me and you were standing right next to me when it happened.

Councilman Kraft I saw a statement on your website - ironically under the heading
STOP THE LIES

ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE.
While speaking with a constituent I threw an empty water bottle towards a
garbage can. The discussion continued for another 15 minutes.

Mr. Kraft, with all due respect, you did not throw an empty water bottle towards a
garbage can you threw a water bottle in anger across council chambers. The bottle went
flying over my left shoulder. Your words, anger, frustration and aggressive actions
including throwing the water bottle were clearly directed at me. Let me repeat - Your
words, anger, frustration and aggressive actions including throwing the water bottle
were clearly directed at me. Our discussion did not continue for another 15 minutes.
You were rushed out of council chambers while I remained in shock and disbelief and
had the police offer me an escort to my car.

I spoke to council after the incident happened relating what had happened and stating my
belief that this was unacceptable behavior. It seems though that what happened is being
reinvented, crafted and published by both of you. So I will tell you and members of
council and those here again what happened.

I was saying hello to Mr. Jennings after his first meeting as a council member. The
Mayor and City Manager were standing next to us and became part of our conversation.
We were talking about the resolutions that had been on the agenda. The mayor
commented that they were political and I responded saying that for example the comment
made by Mr. Kraft calling a resident an asshole was not political but rather a comment
on appropriate behavior. Mr. Kraft clearly took issue at what I said. He exploded out of
his chair grabbed a water bottle off the dais and threw it across the chamber over my
left shoulder whil if that is what you want you want me to
censure my self? Fine Beth . As I said before, his words, anger, frustration
and aggressive actions including throwing the water bottle were clearly directed at
