ORDINANCE NO.__________ ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO ZONING, BY REPEALING SECTION 34-88 THEREOF RELATING TO RESERVED, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 34-88 OLIVE BOULEVARD HISTORIC DISTRICT," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ADD OLIVE BOULEVARD AS A HISTORIC DISTRICT; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.AN BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, at its meeting held at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on January 24, 2007, the University City Plan Commission recommended an amendment of Section 34-88 of the University City Zoning Code by adding provisions to create the Olive Boulevard Historic District; and WHEREAS, due notice of public hearings to be held by the City Council in the City Council Chambers at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on March 19, 2007, was duly published in the Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within said City; and WHEREAS, said public hearings were held at the time and place specified in said notice, and all suggestions or objections concerning said amendment were duly heard and considered by the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Missouri, relating to zoning is hereby amended by repealing Section 34-88, relating to Reserved, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 34-88 Olive Boulevard Historic District," by amending said section so as to create the Olive Boulevard Historic District, as so amended shall read as follows:
