Session 1797 November 13, 2000 happened since this date, the applicant is not a current owner. Mr. Rose said that the applicant is not an owner, but that he did have a contract on the building. The closing of the contract is contingent on whether he is able to receive a liquer license. Mr. Lieberman does not understand how we can give the applicant a liquor license without him being an owner. The applicant, Robert Cook, 7401 Pershing said that he does not believe that not getting a liquor license could stop him from acquiring the property, which he is closing on tomorrow. The liquor license is key to the business, however. Mr. Lieberman said that this is really a transfer, but Mr. Cook is still not the current owner. Mr. Lieberman believes approving this is setting a bad precedent. The motion to approve passed unanimously.
