<br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />October 16, 2014 Meeting Minutes <br />(approved 11-20-2014) <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission held a meeting in the Heman Park Community Center located at <br />975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri on Thursday, October 16, 2014. The meeting <br />commenced at 7:05 pm. <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />2.a. September 18, 2014 Historic Preservation Commission meeting minutes <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Guest to approve the September 18, 2014 meeting minutes as <br />written. The motion was seconded by Mr. Chilton and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Old Business None <br /> <br />4. New Business <br /> <br />4.a. 244 Linden Avenue Design Review for construction of proposed detached garage in place of <br />existing detached garage to be demolished in the Linden-Kingsbury Historic District (Local <br />Historic District) RECOMMENDATION TO DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />REQUESTED <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens provided a brief overview of maps and pictures of the site and summarized the <br />Historic District Standards. <br /> <br />Mr. Jeff Nornberg explained the proposal. It was for a two-car garage with a storage space <br />above. The location would be similar to the existing garage, but would be in compliance with <br />the setbacks. The roof pitch was the same as the existing house and would meet the height <br />requirements in the Zoning Code. The proposed material was cedar shingle siding with six inch <br />exposure, stained the same as the house. The details on the windows and doors would be the <br />same as the existing house as well as the roof shingles. <br /> <br /> <br />tğŭĻ Њ ƚŅ Ћ <br /> <br />
