Session 1801 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />January 22,2001 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, January 22, 2001, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting <br />to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council <br />Were present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquirt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Mr. Paul Schoomer <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank OIlendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the minutes from December 18, 2000. Mr. Munkel <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the minutes from January 8, 2001, with an amendment. <br />Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion. Mr. Wagner said that the title to Agenda Item #3 on <br />page three should read, "Agenda Item #3 - Long Term Disability Insurance". The <br />motion to approve the amended minutes passed unanimously. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office to Mr. Scott Giffen - CALOP and to Ms. <br />Elizabeth Schiller - Traffic Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams thanked and both Mr. Giffen and Ms. Schiller for their willingness to serve <br />in this capacity for the City, noting that they should find this type of service very <br />rewarding. He said that the Boards and Commissions helped the City to work properly <br />and that they were joining a great group of people. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY COMEBACK FUND AND <br />COUNTYWIDE USE TAX: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams announced that this resolution was being introduced by the entire <br />Council. Mayor Adams said that citizens in St. Louis County and City of St. Louis <br />should be seeing much information on what this proposition is about. <br /> <br /> <br />
