RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Missouri Municipal League was first organized in 1927 on a <br /> voluntary, non-partisan basis to perform a wide range of research, <br /> consultative, training, publication and legislative representation <br /> services to its member Missouri cities, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Missouri Municipal League held its 46th annual conference <br /> in St. Louis, Missouri on September 7-10, 1980 at which time an <br /> election of officers was held to provide leadership and direction <br /> for League activities for the next year, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lawrence Lieberman has signally served with distinction on nu- <br /> merous urban organizations including the Board of Directors of the <br /> <br /> National League of Cities and is well versed in civic issues, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the four hundred forty-three member cities, ~owns and villages <br /> of the League have placed special trust in the abilities, judgment <br /> and foresight of Lawrence Lieberman by elevating him from the office <br /> of vice-president and electing him president of the Missouri Muni- <br /> cipal League by a unanimous vote, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council regards with notable <br /> pride and affectionately salutes the achievements of its fellow <br /> councilmember who has represented the Third Ward in University City <br /> with outstanding skill, sensitivity, and dedication for over fifteen <br /> years and whose wisdom and knowledge has gained him wide-spread re- <br /> spect and admiration, and <br /> <br />FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED that Larry Lieberman is offered every wish for <br /> success in guiding the League toward an outstanding year of progress <br /> and accomplishment which will accrue to the best interests of all <br /> citizens of the State of Missouri. <br /> <br />PASSED this 22nd day of September, 1980. <br /> <br /> ooneY ~~/ <br /> seph W.
