<br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />January 23, 2007 <br />Centennial Commons <br /> <br />President James Sutton called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Others present were: <br /> <br />Mary Hart, Vice President Arthur Sharpe Jr., Council Liaison <br />Jerry Fitch Nancy MacCartney, Director of Parks <br />Livingstone Sykes Tracy Collins, Administrative Secretary <br />Charles Mosley Lynda Euell-Taylor, Recreation Superintendent <br />Linda Peoples <br /> <br />Excused: Doyle Mitchell <br /> <br />Disposition of Minutes from November 28, 2007 <br />Mr. Fitch motioned to accept minutes with correction of Winter Golf Special motion <br />passed. Mr. Mosley seconded, motion passed. <br /> <br />Citizen’s Comments on items not on Agenda <br />None <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br />Mr. Sharpe reported: New Deputy City Manager; Cost overruns on Fire House and City <br />Hall; Tour of Olive & Prop U Committee selection; AT & T and Charter <br /> <br />Election <br />Commission voted on President and Vice President. Mr. James Sutton was voted in as <br />President with the vote of 4 to 2. Ms. Hart was voted in as Vice President 3 to 2 and 1 <br />abstain. <br /> <br />Department Report <br />Ms. MacCartney reported: Budget process and deadline; update on grants; updates <br />on committees; Centennial Commons memberships <br /> <br />Individual Park Reports <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />Old Business <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />New Business <br />Ms. Peoples was introduced to the board; she gave a brief overview of herself and <br />interest. She has been a University City resident for forty years and she is active in the <br />community. Ms. Peoples asked if the City’s spring sports program will conflict with the <br />Sports Association program. Ms. MacCartney explained the difference in the programs. <br /> <br /> <br />
