<br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />October 23, 2007 <br />Centennial Commons <br /> <br />Mr. Livingstone Sykes called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. Others present were: <br /> <br />Caryn St Clair Arthur Sharpe Jr., Council Liaison <br />Karen Dille Lynda Euell-Taylor, Recreation Superintendent <br />Mary Hart Tracy Collins, Department Liaison <br />Linda Peoples Tom McCarthy, Asst. Recreation Superintendent <br />John Sterbenz <br />Karen Palmer <br />Jerry Fitch <br /> <br />Absent: James Sutton, President <br /> <br />Disposition of Minutes from July 24, 2007 <br />Ms. St Clair motioned to accept minutes with corrections (under new business: Mr Fitch <br />suggested a program incentive, i.e. for frequent players at the Golf Course; Mr. <br />Sterbenz second, motion passed. <br /> <br />Citizen’s Comments on items not on Agenda <br />None <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br />Mr. Sharpe reported: Unveiling of sign for Betty Thompson Walking Path; approved <br />calendar; refuse bill payments; automated recycling <br /> <br />2007 Pool Report Update <br />Commission members reviewed the report, after a discussion requested the report <br />include the original report and the update be combined, a comparison of 2004-2007; <br />they also wanted to know the purpose of the attendance report and pool percentage <br />of memberships <br /> <br />Department Report <br />Ms. Euell-Taylor gave an overview of the current programs and an update on projects. <br /> <br />Individual Park Reports <br />Mooney – Park bench arrived; safety concern with woodchips <br />Heman – debris in the River De Peres; parking lot at Shaftsbury pot holes <br />Ackert – glass <br />Lewis – Chain link fence <br /> <br />Old Business <br />None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
