<br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />April 22, 2008 <br />Centennial Commons <br /> <br />President Livingston Sykes called the meeting to order at 6:34p.m. Others present were: <br /> <br />Linda Peoples Arthur Sharpe Jr., Council Liaison <br />Karen Dille Nancy MacCartney, Director of Parks <br />Mary Hart Tracy Collins, Department Staff Liaison <br />Caryn St Clair <br />John Sterbenz <br />James Sutton <br />Jerry Fitch <br /> <br />Absent: James Sutton <br />Excused Absent: Karen Palmer <br /> <br />Disposition of Minutes from March 25, 2008 <br />President Sykes called for a motion, Ms St Clair motion to approve, one correction Mr Fitch was excused <br />from last month’s meeting, Ms Peoples second, after a vote approved with corrections. <br /> <br />Citizen’s Comments on items not on Agenda <br />Ms Wilma Kinnels of 1332 Purdue concerned about the lack of recreation for seniors and thought that we <br />should survey them for activities ideas. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br />Mr. Sharpe reported: Cellular settlement with the City <br /> <br />By-Laws <br />Commission looked over the draft of the By-Laws, after a discussion on phrases and wordage it was <br />decided, Mr Fitch and Ms Dille would prepare a final draft for the next meeting. <br /> <br />Department Report <br />Ms. MacCartney reported on: Park Master Plan and results of the survey <br /> <br />Individual Park Reports <br />Centennial Commons – Shower heads too low; water pressure to low <br />Fogerty – bathroom: water leaking, need paper towels and painting <br />Ruth Park – water <br />Heman Park – second parking lot utility fence busted; tire in creek; pool trees are planted <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br />th <br />Senior Expo April 29 <br /> <br />New Business <br />None <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:28 pm <br />
