Below is a copy of <br />the agenda for the meeting. <br /> <br />Please call Sandy Weinberg at 862-6767, ext. 260, and advise her if you will not be attending the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br /> <br />1.Intersection for Kingsland and Loop South <br /> <br />In June 2004 representatives of the University City East Citizen Action Committee requested that the <br />Traffic Commissioners study the intersection of Kingsland and Loop South during the summer months. <br />th <br />At the last traffic commission meeting (September 8), Elsie Glickert (from University City East Citizen <br />Action Committee) requested that the Commission table the issue and study the site for another month. <br /> <br />Please provide your comments to identify appropriate improvements for vehicle and pedestrian safety at <br />the intersection of Kingsland and Loop South. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2.High speed on Oakbrook Neighborhood, in particular “Alanson Drive” <br /> <br />Please find attached a traffic request form, dated September 8, 2004 submitted by Robin Hartrich, <br />resident at 924 Alanson Drive. Ms. Hartrich is requesting to use horses or stop signs to slow traffic so <br />that those in the neighborhood could walk, run, or ride a bike on streets. <br /> <br />In order to control speed, horses and stop signs are not recommended. The intersection Alanson and <br />Golf Course Drive was discussed on the May 14, 2003 Traffic Commission meeting (please find <br />minutes attached). <br /> <br />The Engineering Division recommends that a traffic counter be installed and that the average speed be <br />recorded on Alanson Drive between Old Bonhomme and Golf Course Drive. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\agenda\2004\Agenda 10-13-04.doc <br /> <br />
