Below is a copy of <br />the agenda for the meeting. <br /> <br />For your information, please find attached St. Louis County letter dated November 1, 2004 regarding <br />traffic concerns along Delmar Boulevard, from the Lion Monuments to Trinity Avenue. <br /> <br />Please call Sandy Weinberg at 862-6767, ext. 260, and advise her if you will not be attending the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br /> <br />1.Traffic light located east of the intersection of Delmar and McKnight Road <br /> <br />Please find attached a traffic request form, dated October 5, 2004 submitted by Vernon Fischer, resident <br />at Delcrest Drive. Mr. Fisher is requesting to move the light located east of the intersection of Delmar <br />and McKnight Road to be located at the intersection of Delmar and Delcrest Drive. <br /> <br />The request has been presented to St. Louis County before (about 10 years ago) but they denied it. At <br />this time the Engineering Division is presenting this request to the Traffic Commissioners for their <br />comments. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Lafon Place – Old Bonhomme – Gay Avenue <br /> <br />Please find attached a traffic request form, dated October 11, 2004 submitted by Angela L’Hommedieu, <br />resident at 8026 Lafon Place. Ms. L’Hommedieu is requesting that the amount of cut through traffic <br />and speeding on Lafon between Old Bonhomme and Gay be reduced. She is concerned that this <br />situation could become worse with the renovation of Gay Field. <br /> <br />On November 12, 2003 the Traffic Commission discussed this issue and voted to install “speed limit <br />signs” at the intersection of Lafon and Gay and the intersection Lafon and Old Bonhomme. At this <br />time, in the area of Gay, Mapleview and Lafon, the following signs are installed: <br /> <br />? <br /> <br />5 stop signs <br />? <br /> <br />2 “children at play” signs at the intersection Lafon-Mapleview and Teasdale-Mapleview <br />? <br /> <br />3 speed limit signs along Lafon (for motorists northbound on Gay and Westbound on Lafon) <br />? <br /> <br />3 residential parking permit signs along Lafon <br /> <br />Please find a sketch attached that shows the location of the signs. <br />1 <br />V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\agenda\2004\Agenda 11-10-04.doc <br /> <br />
