Re: January Traffic Commission Meeting The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Traffic Commission is Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 6:30 CONFERENCE ROOM (Room 6) on the Second Floor of the City Hall building p.m. in the . Attached is a copy of the agenda for the meeting. Please call Sandy Weinberg at 862-6767, ext. 260, and advise her if you will not be attending the meeting. AGENDA FOR THE MEETING 1.No Parking at Any Time sign in front of 7320 Forsyth. Background: Residents at 7320 Forsyth new condo building requested a “No Parking at Any Time Sign” in front of th their building. This issue was discussed on the last Traffic Commission meeting on December 10, 2003. As a secretary of the traffic commission I sent an information letter to all residents at 7300 block of Forsyth and received 10 emails, 2 letters and 5 phone calls in opposition to the request. Please find documents attached. The Engineering Division might recommend prohibiting parking at any time in front of 7320 Forsyth from the west side of the driveway to 15 feet to the west (just in front of the green area between the driveway and the entrance). 2.No Right turn at Intersection Canton and Quendo and Canton and Waldron Please find attached Traffic Request Form submitted by Mary Weber dated December 5, 2003. She is requesting a “No Right Turn” at Intersection Canton and Quendo and Canton and Waldron. She states that there is a tremendous amount of “cut through” traffic using the neighborhood to avoid using Midland to get Canton. She states that during the week, the average number of cars cutting through the neighborhood is 30 and 50 on weekends. Summer is heaviest. The recommendation of the Engineering Division is to install signs displaying, “SLOW” or “SPEED LIMIT 25 MPH” at the beginning of 1300 block of Waldron, facing northbound.
