Please call 505- <br />8568 to confirm your attendance. <br /> <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br />1. Request to remove parking restriction on south side of Forsyth Blvd from Big Bend <br />Blvd to Asbury Ave. <br /> <br />CBB will present a final report on the meeting scheduled for September 9, 2009, to provide the <br />Traffic Commissioners with recommendations on whether or not to remove the existing on-street <br />rush hour parking restriction on Forsyth Boulevard between Del-Lin Drive and Big Bend <br />Boulevard during peak hours. Also, CBB will provide a recommendation regarding implementing <br />a resident only parking restriction in this area. <br /> <br />STOP SIGN Warrants per MUTCD: <br />2. <br /> <br />Section 2B.07 Multiway Stop Applications <br /> <br />The decision to install multi-way stop control should be based on an engineering study. <br />The following criteria should be considered in the engineering study for a multiway STOP sign <br />installation: <br />A. The stop sign can be installed to control traffic while arrangements are being made for the <br />installation of a traffic control signal. <br />B. A crash problem, as indicated by 5 or more reported crashes in a 12-month period. <br />C. Vehicular traffic: <br />1. Volume traffic entering the intersection at least 300 vehicles per hour for any 8 hours <br />of an average day, and <br />2. The combined vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle volume at least 200 units per hour for <br />the same 8 hours, but <br />3. If the 85th-percentile approach speed of the major-street traffic exceeds 40 mph, the <br />minimum vehicular volume warrants are 70 percent of the above values. <br /> <br />3. Traffic Commission term of Service. <br />Traffic Commission members will discuss their term of service and reappointments. <br /> <br />4.
