<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Special Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />August 22, 2011 <br />Centennial Commons, 7210 Olive Blvd <br />President John Sweeney called the meeting to order at 5:32 pm. Other members present were: <br />William Field Ewald Winker, Interim Director <br />Karen Palmer Lynda Euell-Taylor, Recreation Superintendent <br />Linda Peoples Lynn Ricci, Council Liaison <br />Caryn St. Clair <br />Excused Absence: Karen Dille, Gwendolyn Gaines-Beckwith <br />New Business <br />President Sweeney explained the special session was called to vote on the proposed reciprocal agreement <br />presented by the City of Creve Coeur which would provide University City residents to play at Creve Coeur Golf <br />Course for resident rates; as well as Creve Coeur residents using Ruth Park Golf Course for resident rates. Mr. <br />Sweeney indicated though Creve Coeur has established a similar agreement with the City of Balwin; Balwin is <br />not interested in entering into a reciprocal agreement with University City at the present time. <br />If approved, this agreement would begin implementation upon approval by City Council until December 31, <br />2011; at which time an evaluation would take place to determine if its continuation is feasible. <br /> <br />Ms. St. Clair moved to approve Ruth Park Golf Course enter into a reciprocal agreement with the City of Creve <br />Coeur for resident rates provided to University City resident to play at Creve Coeur Golf Course and resident rates <br />provided to Creve Coeur resident to play at Ruth Park Golf Course. Ms. Peoples seconded. Vote taken: all <br />approved. <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. St. Clair moved to adjourn. Ms. Peoples second. All in favor. <br /> <br />The meeting ended at 5:46 pm. <br /> <br /> <br />
