Avenue, linear park with playground, 3.5 acres, acquired 1967.
FLYNN PARK - Bounded by Pershing, Midvale and Kingsbury, this park's facility includes 5 tennis courts and playground, 6.61 acres, acquired 1923. FOGERTY PARK - Located in the 1500 block of North 82nd Blvd. This large neighborhood park is ideal for all day outings. Picnic area has weatherproof shelter with restrooms. Other facilities consists of a full size baseball diamond, children's playground, half mile jogging trail and two tennis courts, 11.80 acres, acquired 1928. GREENSFELDER PARK - West of 8333 Fullerton, ball diamond and playground, 6.75 acres, acquired 1954. GREENWAY SOUTH - South from 6600 Kingsbury to Millbrook, linear park, 1.83 acres, acquired 1967. HEMAN PARK - Bounded by Olive, Purdue, Midland, Vernon and Pennsylvania. This is University City's largest park serving the entire community. Outdoor facilities include restroom facilities, several picnic areas, two large baseball diamonds, 6 softball diamonds, 2 regulation baseball diamonds, 4 little league baseball diamonds, paved basketball courts, horseshoe courts, 8 tennis courts, 3 soccer fields, 2 football fields, a 1-1/2 mile jogging course and a large playground. Six of the tennis courts are lighted for night use, 85.26 acres, acquired 1923, 1928 and 1944. Also located in Heman Park are the large outdoor pool, soccer facility, Community Center and park maintenance garage. KAUFMAN PARK - Mulberry and Blackberry, this park offers 4 tennis courts, a tennis practice area, a playground and separate tot lot for small children and a natural wooded area suitable for nature study, 7.77 acres, acquired 1972. KINGSLAND PARK - Kingsland at Chamberlain, Children's tot lot, .84 acres, acquired 1970. LEWIS PARK - Delmar at Yale, features a decorative pond with fountain and playground, 4.00 acres, acquired 1923, 1928 and 1954. JANET MAJERUS PARK - Raymond and Partridge Aves., features a decorative pond with fountain, 1/3 mile jogging trail, fitness stations and children's playground, 5.0 acres, acquired 1996. METCALFE PARK - Kingsland Avenue, south of Vernon, two ball fields and playground, 5.6 acres, acquired 1955 and 1962. MILLAR PARK - Canton and North & South Rds. A larger neighborhood park offering a playground area, picnic shelter with restrooms, two baseball diamonds, football field and ½ mile jogging trail with fitness stations, 12.19 acres, acquired 1928. MOONEY PARK - Jackson Avenue, Delmar to Amherst, playground and basketball courts, 5.2 acres, acquired 1922, 1923 and 1931. NORTHMOOR PARK - Big Bend, south of Forsyth, undeveloped green space, 1.6 acres, acquired 1933. RABE PARK - Midland at Canton, children's playground and open play field, 2.0 acres, acquired 1934. RUTH PARK - Nine hole golf course with rustic club house, 67.591 acres RUTH PARK WOODS - 26 acre wooded tract with interpretive nature trails developed in cooperation with Missouri Department of Conservation and volunteers.
