Session 1801 January 22, 2001 RELATING TO EMPLOYEES LEAVING EMPLOYMENT OTHER THAN BY DEATH OR RETIREMENT, AND SECTION 2.64.150, RELATING TO REDUCTION OF BENEFITS FOR MILITARY DISABILITY COMPENSATION, AND ENACTING NEW SECTIONS KNOWN AS THE SAME SO AS TO INCREASE THE PENSION OF PARTICIPANTS WHO TERMINATED AFTER JANUARY 1, 2000, AND SO AS TO REPLACE THE DISABILITY RETIREMENT PLAN WITH A DISABILITY INSURANCE POLICY. The bill was given its first reading and assigned number 8509. 2. A bill was introduced by Mr. Schoomer, entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING AN ADDITIONAL PROCESS TO RECOVER THE COSTS OF SUCH REMOVAL AND ABATEMENT OF CERTAIN NUISANCES. The bill was given its first reading and assigned number 8510. Mr. Ollendorff wished to make a comment about the first introduced bill increasing pensions by 20%. The effective date is still in question and while it was appropriate to introduce the bill this evening, at the next meeting, when this bill is voted on, it will probably be a different effective date. The City Attorney wanted him to report this to Council. ADDITIONAL CITIZEN COMMENTS: Joe Denigan, 7031 Forsythe, wished to find out what the procedural timetable was for the 7023 Forsythe rezoning issue. Mayor Adams stated that tonight the bill was requested for preparation. The bill should be ready for introduction at the February 26"h meeting. The bill cannot be approved that night and has to lay over to the next Council meeting scheduled for March 19th. After that, it has to go back to the Plan Commission and then back to the City Council. Mr. Qllendorff said that the final vote of the City Council probably will not be until mid April or mid May. ADJOURNMENT: Mayor Adams reminded everyone that the next regular meeting of the City Council would be at 7:30 p.m. on February 26, 2001. The Mayor adjourned the meeting at 8:45 p.m. ."
