Mayor Adams <br />explained our current notification process to the audience. <br /> <br />Ms, Loretta Bryant, 7863 Milan, stated she was President of the Belmont Hills Block <br />Unit. She was wondering what the status was on the vacant houses which she <br />reported at an earlier meeting. The neighborhood is complaining about lawn service <br />companies that cutting grass and things, but leaving their Fred Sanford trucks out on <br />the streets. She would like to see something done on this and asked the City Clerk to <br />send her the Truck Ordinance, She also needs some clarification on occupancy rules <br />she does not understand how six to seven people could legally fit in a bungalow, The <br />City Clerk will send the Property Maintenance Code to her. <br /> <br />CITY CLERK'S DOCKET: <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READING: <br /> <br />BILL NO, 8514 ~ AMENDING CHAPTER 8,28 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE; <br />BY REPEALING SUBSECTIONS PM-112.4.2 AND PM-202.0 OF SECTION <br />8,28,020 THEREOF, RELATING TO CONDITIONAL PERMITS AND GENERAL <br />DEFINITIONS, RESPECTIVELY, AND BY ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW <br />SUBSECTIONS TO BE KNOWN AS "PM-112.4,2 CONDITIONAL PERMIT," <br />AND SUBSECTION "PM-202.0 GENERAL DEFINITIONS;" AND BY ENACTING <br />IN SECTION 8.28.020 A NEW SUBSECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "PM-112,7 <br />RESIDENTIAL RENTAL PROPERTY;" THEREBY AMENDING SUBSECTION <br />PM-112.4.2 SO AS TO SHORTEN FROM NINETY (90) DAYS TO SIXTY (60) <br />DAYS THE PERIOD IN WHICH PREMISES SHOULD BE BROUGHT INTO <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE CODE UNDER A CONDITIONAL PERMIT, ADDING <br />A NEW SUBSECTION ON OCCUPANCY PERMITS FOR RESIDENTIAL <br />RENTAL PROPERTY AND PROVIDING A DEFINITION THEREFOR; <br />CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff suggested that this ordinance be amended to allow a occupancy <br />inspection to be good for a period of 12 months instead of the current 6 months. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved the amendment, as stated by Mr. Ollendorff. Mr, Munkel <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Bill number 8514 was put on hold until Apdl 23,d by request by the Mayor.
