Session 1807 <br />April 2, 2001 <br /> <br />CiTY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA 11 - CONSENT CALENDAR: <br /> <br /># 1 - Picnic Beer License: University City Loop Community Foundation: Mr. Ollendorff <br />recommends approval of a license to sell beer on May 6 to benefit the University City <br />Loop Community Foundation. The beer stand will be located at the corner of Leland at <br />Delmar. This organization has conducted beer sales in the U, City Loop on several <br />occasions and has always conducted such sales in a highly responsible manner, The <br />event centers on the St, Louis area music awards sponsored by the Riverfront Times in <br />conjunction with the University City Loop Special Business District. <br /> <br />#2 - Public Hearing Date: Zoninq Setback Text Amendmen~ Mr. Ollendorff <br />recommends setting 7:30 p,m. on Monday, April 23, in these Council Chambers as the <br />time and place for a public hearing on a proposal to amend the zoning code to provide <br />a City Council exception to modify the front setbacks for buildings in the University City <br />Loop, <br /> <br />#3 - Zoysia Sod for Ruth Park Golf Course: Quotations were sent to four vendors to <br />supply 5,863 sq, ft, of Zoysia sod for the golf course. $18,000 was set aside for this <br />requirement, The results are as follows: <br /> <br />Keevan Bros ......................... $17,999.41 <br />Four Seasons ........................ $20,051,46 <br />Missouri Tuff ........................ $20,051.46 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends awarding this pumhase to Keevan Bros, for their low bid of <br />$17,999.41. <br /> <br />Mr, Sharpe moved approval of the consent calendar. Mr, Munkel seconded the motion, <br />which carded unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #2 - DEVELOPMENT SUBSIDY POLICY: <br /> <br />In order to facilitate new development or rehab projects in areas designated in <br />University City's Comprehensive Plan the City Council will consider on a case by case <br />basis certain levels of economic and legal assistance, Inquiries should be directed to <br />the Director of Planning and Development and the City Manager. The following policies <br />are recommended for endorsement by the City Council. <br /> <br />Tax hcrement Financing will only be considered to assist new development or <br />rehab projects with extraordinary costs on blighted commercial, residential or <br /> <br /> <br />
