Liquor License – Riverfront Times <br />Requested liquor for music showcase on September 10, 2006. <br /> <br />2. Fire Department MDA Solicitation <br /> Fill-The-Boot-Day for the annual Muscular Dystrophy <br /> <br />3. Fire Department-Diesel Exhaust Removal System <br /> Ward Diesel Filter Systems bid was for $26,022 – they were the only supplier <br /> <br />4. No Smoking Policy <br />All City departments have agreed to no smoking in City vehicles and inside areas <br />previously designated as smoking. City Council has the discretion to determine <br />smoking policy for the Council Chambers, the Mayor’s Office, the Community Center, <br />public areas at the Centennial Commons, E.O.C. room and conference rooms of the <br />City Hall during evening hours when used for public meetings. <br /> <br />5. Chevrolet Tahoe-Fire Department <br /> Bids received: Jim Butler Chevrolet $32,535 <br /> Don Brown Chevrolet $31,233 <br /> Jim Butler’s bid was accepted as it met all the specifications <br /> <br />6. Centennial Commons: Final Change Order <br /> To complete final payment in the amount of $26,290. <br /> <br />Ms. Brot moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Glickert and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br />City Manager requested the Council to take the time to review the 2006 – 2007 calendar, <br />especially the schedule of Council meetings. Ms. Feier had proposed an Option 1 or and <br />Option 2. Option 1 would have Council meetings on the first and third Mondays with <br />Tuesday being the fallback if scheduled Monday was a holiday and the months of July, <br />August and December would only have one meeting. Option 2 would be a Monday <br />meeting only schedule. <br /> <br />Ms Brot proposed that the meetings showed consistency. If a Monday falls on a holiday <br />then the Council meeting goes to the next Monday not a Tuesday. She also wanted to be <br />sure that National, State, and :Local election date be included on the calendar this year <br />and a notation is on the calendar stating Jewish holidays start at the sundown the night <br />before. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert agreed with Ms. Brot, which would be Option 2 – all meetings fall on a <br />Monday. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
