Session 1809
May 7, 2001

Mr. Wagner and Mr. Sharpe withdrew their motions to approve.

Mr. Lieberman moved to table this item until more information is received. Ms. Colquirt
seconded the motion. The motion to table carried 6 to 1, with Mr. Schoomer voting
Nay.

Ms. Colquitt clarified that she had asked questions at the last Council meeting, which
were: How long has the organization been in business? Do we have any proof that the
funds are being allocated to the organizations as stated in the request? Mr. Wagner
said he wanted to know how much of the funds were allocated to administrative costs.
Mr. OIlendorff said that his question is already on the application and it states that it is
less than 25%. Mr. Sharpe asked that a representative come to the next meeting.

Mr. Ollendorff wanted to make sure that the Council understands that the application
does answer some of their questions. He will find out how long they have been in
business and ask someone to be at the next meeting.

AGENDA #5 - PUBLIC HEARING - REZONING #2 MCKNIGHT:

A public hearing has been set for 7:30 p.m. this date and place to consider rezoning the
north 50 fifty feet of 8655 West Kingsbury from "SR" Single Family to "HRO" High
Density Residential. The rezoning is necessary in order to permit the construction of the
#2 McKnight addition previously authorized by the City Council. Approval is
recommended by the City planning staff and the Plan Commission.

Mayor Adams declared the public hearing opened at 8:00 p.m and immediately closed
at 8:00 p.m. since there were no requests to speak.

CITY CLERK'S DOCKET:

BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READING:

BILL NO. 8514 - AMENDING CHAPTER 8.28 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE;
BY REPEALING SUBSECTIONS PM-112.4.2 AND PM-202.0 OF SECTION
8.28.020 THEREOF, RELATING TO CONDITIONAL PERMITS AND GENERAL
DEFINITIONS, RESPECTIVELY, AND BY ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW
SUBSECTIONS TQ BE KNOWN AS "PM-112.4.2 CONDITIONAL PERMIT,"
AND SUBSECTION "PM-202.0 GENERAL DEFINITIONS;" AND BY ENACTING
IN SECTION 8.28.020 A NEW SUBSECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "PM-112.7
RESIDENTIAL RENTAL PROPERTY;" THEREBY AMENDING SUBSECTION
PM-112.4.2 SO AS TO SHORTEN FROM NINETY (90) DAYS TO SIXTY (60)

4
