<br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />November 20, 2014 Meeting Minutes <br />(approved 3-19-2015) <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission held a meeting in the Heman Park Community Center located at <br />975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri on Thursday, November 20, 2014. The meeting <br />commenced at 7:05 pm. <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />2.a. October 16, 2014 Historic Preservation Commission meeting minutes <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Wesenberg to approve the October 16, 2014 meeting minutes as <br />written. The motion was seconded by Mr. Chilton and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Old Business None <br /> <br />4. New Business <br /> <br />4.a. 244 Linden Avenue Review of setback variance request for proposed detached garage in the <br />Linden-Kingsbury Historic District (Local Historic District) RECOMMENDATION TO BOARD <br />OF ADJUSTMENT REQUESTED <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens provided a brief overview of maps and pictures of the site and summarized the <br />variance request and the action requested of the Historic Preservation Commission. The <br />applicant was requesting a variance to maintain a setback of five (5) feet from the northern <br />property boundary in lieu of fifteen (15) feet required in the Zoning Code. Under the powers and <br />duties of the Historic Preservations Commission as specified in the Zoning Code, variance <br />requests within a historic district are reviewed by the HPC for a recommendation to the Board of <br />Adjustment. <br /> <br />The applicant, Mr. Jeff Nornberg, explained the proposal. The proposed garage was the same <br />design previously approved by the HPC, but the current proposal was to shift the proposed <br />garage north by ten (10) feet in order to allow for more room between the existing dwelling and <br />tğŭĻ Њ ƚŅ Ћ <br /> <br />
