SESSION 1506 <br /> <br />M]IN-tFfES OF THE UNIVERSITY cl'l~ (ITJNCIL <br /> <br /> November 6, 1989 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University city held in the Assem- <br />bly Room of city Hall on Monday, Novemk~= 6, 1989, Mayor Janet Majerus presid- <br />ed and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the <br />following members of the Council were ~u~sent: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron R. Price <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jro <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty Lo Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. City Clerk Dolores A. Miller <br />was ex~tt_~ed. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved acceptance of t~he Octok~r 16, 1989 minutes as submitted. Mr. <br />~s seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Price did not have a correction, but wished to cu~,,~nt on the Coranunity <br />Development budget. He asked Mr. Ollendorff to see that information is publi- <br />cized on the hc~e inprovement loan p~am, perhaps in the University City <br />New~, so more residents will be aware of the program and what it entails. <br /> <br />All voted Aye to approve the minutes. <br /> <br />Mrs. Thc,~0son moved the appointment of Mr. Charles Foxwor~], 6852 Julian, to <br />the City Plan C~m~dssion for a te~ expiring January 1, 1992. Mr. Wagner sec- <br />onded the motion, which carried unanimc~sly. <br /> <br />Mrs. ~h~son moved the appointment of Ms. Carrie Werford, 1246 Waldron, to <br />the civil Service Board for an unexpired term ending April 7, 1991. Mr. Price <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus moved the appointment of ~. Carol Levinson, 8324 Delcrest, to a <br />dual appointment on the Industrial Development Authority and Tax Increment Fi- <br />nancing C~ission for a term expiring August 27, 1995. Mr. Wagner seconded <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus announced that imn~diately following the meeting, a reception in <br />honor of retiring Chief of Police James P. Eemos, wilt be held in the rotunda <br />of city Hall. She noted that Col. Damcs has served the City for 29 years and <br />he will be greatly missed.
