He said a truck is needed now since <br />the Council authorized the hiring of an additional env~ inspector on <br />July 1st. Tb~_refok-e, he rec~A~/ed acceptance of the bid frc,,~ Broadway Ford <br />Truck Sale~ i~ the amo%int of $9,535. <br /> <br />Mr..a,'..~;,~ said hA urderstood the i~a~d~ate need for this truck, but object~_ <br />to the price, since it was about $1,000 mu~= for a model oonsidered a year <br />old. Mrs. ~ agreed, subjecting the City %~ait until Oc~_~er for deliv- <br />ery of a Chevrolet model. Mayor Majerus pointed_ out the new inspector could <br />not do /nspections without a vehicle to use. Mrs. Schuman asked if there was <br />not scme flexibility in tb~ scheduling with the v~'Aicles presently available. <br />Mr. Ollendorff said ther~ were no extra vehicles, however, one of the inspec- <br />tors was on vecatic~ early in July and the new inspector used that vehicle <br />during that ti~e.. He noted, however, it u~uld be re,ch mor~ convenient to have <br />the new vehicle now, and the service ~ be ~xmh more efficient than if <br />trucks and schedules had to be oca~tantly juggled for several months. <br /> <br />All voted Aye exoept Ccuncilmembers ~c~ and ~s, who vot_~d_ Nay. <br /> <br />~he City Manager re~,=~_ selling a non~m,{}~hle City, wheal lot ~-t of <br />6818 Plymouth to the adjacent h~eown~r for $10.
