He said a truck is needed now since the Council authorized the hiring of an additional env~ inspector on July 1st. Mr..a,'..~;,~ said hA urderstood the i~a~d~ate need for this truck, but object~_ to the price, since it was about $1,000 mu~= for a model oonsidered a year old. Mrs. ~ agreed, subjecting the City %~ait until Oc~_~er for deliv- ery of a Chevrolet model. Mayor Majerus pointed_ out the new inspector could not do /nspections without a vehicle to use. Mrs. Schuman asked if there was not scme flexibility in tb~ scheduling with the v~'Aicles presently available. Mr. Ollendorff said ther~ were no extra vehicles, however, one of the inspec- tors was on vecatic~ early in July and the new inspector used that vehicle during that ti~e.. He noted, however, it u~uld be re,ch mor~ convenient to have the new vehicle now, and the service ~ be ~xmh more efficient than if trucks and schedules had to be oca~tantly juggled for several months.
