Mr. Ollen- dorff said b~ believed part of that was for locks for senior citizens. He said he would send cu~lete information on this to Mrs. Schuman. The City Manager rec~,m~ approval of a contract with Johnson Control to study energy conservation measures for City buildings. As outlined in the cc~f~.--act, tb~ cost will d_~pend on: 1) the extent to which the consultant can identify improve~_nts for which the payback to the City is six years or less, and 2) the extent to which the City agrees to proceed with these improvements. F~ rzfced that Council received a detailed e~planation of the proposal earlier. Mr. Schocmer moved approval, with Mrs. ~h~ _seco__nding the motion. Mrs. Sch~m~n asked about other cities t.hat have taken part in similar programs. Mr. 011endorff could not recall the ~m~, but said a number of cities in the · et~-u~olitan area have ba~ s~milar contracts and have reported good results. Following further brief di~=ussion, all voted Aye. Mr. Ollendorff asked that the following item he added to the agenda. Mrs. Schuman so moved, with Mr. Schoomer secxm'~ing the motion. All voted Aye.
