BILL NO. 8365 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO NUISANCES, BY ENACTING THEREIN A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 22-26. PLACES USED FOR THE COMMISSION OF CRIMES OR ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS;" AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. The bill was given its second reading. The bill was given its third reading. Mayor Adams moved adoption. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Ware, Mr. Munkel and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill No. 8365 became Ordinance No. 6147. BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION: A bill was introduced by Mr. Wagner, entitled: AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING AND CONVEYING TO ST. LOUIS COUNTY WATER COMPANY A PERMANENT EASEMENT ON A STRIP OF GROUND LOCATED ADJACENT TO HARVARD AVENUE. The bill was assigned No. 8366 and was given its first reading. Mr. Schoomer wanted to make sure this actually belonged to the City. Mr. Ollendorff said that this was property owned by the City and is next to City Hall. It is not school property or University Heights #1 property. The water company is in the process of getting an easement from the school district. Mr. Munkel wished to clarify if we are selling the property or was the property being retained. Mr. Ollendorff said it was for just an easement, we would still own the property. A bill was introduced by Mr. Sharpe, entitled: AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING AND CONVEYING A TRACT OF LAND MEASURING APPROXIMATELY 35 FEET FROM NORTH AND SOUTH AND 1061 FEET FROM WEST TO EAST, SOUTH OF VERNON AVENUE AND EAST FROM A POINT 733 FEET EAST OF PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, TO THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT.
