Session 1816 <br />July 16, 2001 <br /> <br />but he would like to hear more about the circumstances that require an emergency. Mr. <br />Ollendorff said that the recipient of the note, Schnucks, was entitled to these funds <br />approximately a year and a half ago. A number of attorneys have been trying to come <br />up with the proper format to make these funds available, about $40,000, to Schnucks. <br />They just reached agreement this morning and finished all of the documents. They felt <br />Schnucks was within their rights in asking for action by the Council as quickly as <br />possible. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. <br />Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt, and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number <br />8546 passed and became Ordinance number 6320. <br /> <br />2. A bill was introduced by Mr. Wagner, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CALLING A BOND ELECTION IN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill number 8547. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said that the bond would be paid off by <br />property tax. He explained that it could be up to a four cents increase. We don't know <br />what the rate is until the County assesses. This bill just authorizes going to the polls <br />with this issue.
