To: Honorable Mayor Adams and City Council

From: Julie Feier, City Manager

Date: March 30, 2007

Subject: Weekly Update

The Great Rivers Greenway District is holding a Stakeholder’s Meeting for the
Centennial East Greenway project
on Wednesday, May 2 from 7:00 PM to
8:30 PM in the University City Council Chambers at 6801 Delmar. The purpose
of the meeting is to review greenway alignment alternatives as the greenway
moves north on Melville from Kingsbury to the Ackert Walkway approximately
350 feet north of Delmar Blvd. The meeting is open to the public. Adjacent
landowners, businesses and residents are encouraged to attend.

Tamm
MODOT announced that Gateway Constructors have scheduled the
Avenue Bridge for demolition
April 20-22. First, rather than the 5% cap now placed on all new
franchises under the legislation, we will continue to receive 9% and secondly, we
secured CALOP funding from AT&T for the next three, if not six years. The
unexpected positive turn was the extension of the sunset on existing franchises
to six years, 2012 rather than 2009. Finally, while the control distribution boxes in
