<br />Mr. Richard Byers, president of the Oaks Condominium Association (development to the south <br />of Pershing Avenue) inquired about the proposed building type and had concerns about parking <br />on Pershing Avenue, especially for service vehicles (UPS, plumber, electrician, etc.) and guest <br />parking. <br /> <br />Mr. Mehlman explained the proposed parking garage location and layout. The proposed <br />development would provide access to units with internal hallways and parking would be <br />partially underground. <br /> <br />Staff recommended approval of the proposed Map Amendment. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Ms. Moran to approve the proposed Zoning Map Amendment to rezone <br />the properties at 7505 Pershing Avenue and 415 N. Hanley Road from SR Single Family <br /> Medium Density Residential District. The motion was seconded <br />by Mr. Salamon and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Chairperson stated that the official public hearing would be conducted at an upcoming City <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />6.b. Zoning Map Amendment PC 15-05 7511 Pershing Avenue Proposal to rezone property <br /> Medium Density Residential District <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens explained the proposed rezoning and provided background information including <br />pictures and maps. <br /> <br />Questions, Comments, and Discussion <br /> <br /> <br />-Plan Commission members asked about conformity with the Zoning Code. Staff stated that <br />the proposed rezoning would bring the property into conformance. <br /> <br />Staff stated that the proposed Map Amendment was initiated by the City after PC 15-04 was <br />proposed in order to bring the property into compliance and to be consistent with the adjacent <br />property to the north and east if that rezoning were to be approved. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Miller to approve the proposed Zoning Map Amendment to rezone <br /> <br /> Medium Density Residential District. The motion was seconded by Mr. Jones and carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />6.c. Zoning Map Amendment PC 15-06 1052, 1056, 1060, 1064, 1068, 1072, 1076, 1080, 1084, <br />1086, 1088, 1090, 1092, 1094, 1100, 1106, 1110, 1114, 1118, 1122, 1126, 1130, 1134, 1138, 1142, <br />1146, 1150, and 1158 Wilson Ave Single Family <br /> Public Activity District <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens provided an overview of maps and pictures of the properties and explained the <br /> Public Activity District regulations. <br /> <br />Questions, Comments, and Discussion <br /> <br /> <br />-Commission members asked about the status of 1138 Wilson Avenue, one of the two <br />properties not owned by the City. The other properties along the east side of Wilson <br />Avenue were acquired through a FEMA grant.
