In addition to the primary Centennial Greenway, this planning process has identified several streets on which designated bicycle routes should be developed. These are streets that are <br />currently used by cyclists because they have adequate space for riding or are the best available routes to connect to cycling destinations. The on-street routes will combine with the <br />primary trail, to connect more people and more neighborhoods to the Centennial Greenway, and to create opportunities for cyclists willing to share the road with vehicles. The Great <br />Rivers Greenway District will work with Bike St. Louis to identify and fund on-street bicycle routes. The routes will be identified by pavement striping, signage and will be on the <br />Bike St. Louis maps. The on-street The City of Clayton is exploring other on-street opportunities. Potential connections from Wydown include Edgewood Drive to the pedestrian bridge <br />over Forest Park Parkway and the light rail, to Carondelet Avenue through downtown Clayton and on to Jackson Avenue offers a pleasant neighborhood route that passes Jackson Park and <br />will connect the neighborhood with Once a major trolley corridor, Midland Boulevard is a generously wide, divided street with a median for much of its length. It includes gentle hills <br />and interesting neighborhoods, beginning at Delmar Boulevard in University City and passing through Vinita Park, Overland, and Unincorporated St. Louis County before becoming Dorsett <br />Road in Maryland Heights. It has relatively few controlled intersections allowing for a flowing alternative route into Creve Coeur Park. The Dorsett Avenue section is less Lackland <br />Road will connect downtown Overland to its residential core with the Bike St. Louis system, linking to bicycle routes on Ashby Road and Midland Boulevard.
