Session 1817
August 6, 2001

Discussion ensued concerning Bi-State's inability to be able to acquire extra funding.

Mr. Sharpe asked if it was necessary to move on this right now. Mr. Wagner replied that
this needs to be done now.

Mr. Wagner stated that we are put in a bad light when we allow Bi-State to trod on us like
this. What they are doing in unconscionable..

Mr. Lieberman prepared a second resolution for possible introduction, if Bi-State would be
willing to move it farther away from the neighbors. Mr. Ollendorff said that he did talk to
Bi-State about it and it was too late in the game to make these kinds of changes. Mr.
Wagner said he would not have supported such a vacuous piece of text at any rate.

Mr. Lieberman stated that he does not want to embarrass the City. He only has good
wishes for this community. He does not want the City to be hurt in any future dealings
with these groups.

Mayor Adams reminded the Council of the recent million dollar transit grant for
improvements along Olive.

Mr. Wagner requested that the word "private" be inserted between local and state in the
very last sentence of the resolution.

The resolution will be dealt with during regular session.

ADJOURNMENT:

Mayor Adams adjourned the meeting at 7:28 p.m.

3
