Session 1821 <br />October 8, 2001 <br /> <br />Each of the officers introduced their families. A round of applause followed. <br /> <br />Councilmembers offered congratulations to each of the newly sworn in officers. Mr. <br />Schoomer noted that after the events of September 11,2001, the country now fully <br />appreciates the seriousness of the oath that each of these men has just now taken. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams wished to thank each of them and the rest of the fire department for <br />everything they do for the City. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION: <br /> <br />The Mayor read a proclamation that offers congratulations to All Saints Catholic Church <br />on their centennial. All Saints Church was the first church in University City and the first <br />institution of any type to be around in University City for one hundred years. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved adoption. Four companies were invited <br />to submit bids.
