Peace Corps solicitation of money to pay for postage to send books for Peace <br />Corp volunteers was removed by City Manager, Ms. Feier. <br /> <br />Consent agenda was moved for approval by Mr. Price, seconded by Mr. Sharpe, <br />Jr. and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to deny the solicitation of money to pay for postage to send <br />books for Peace Corp volunteers, Consent Agenda 5, seconded by Ms. Brot and <br />the denial was unanimous. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br /> <br />1. Director of University City Public Library, Linda Ballard <br />Ms. Ballard briefly talked about the library newsletter and the proposed budget for <br />the new fiscal year. She also asked for Council to introduce some control on the <br />many newspaper boxes placed around the perimeter of the library and also in the <br />Loop area. <br />2. Council’s future schedule <br />Ms. Feier presented an outline of future Council meetings. She introduced <br />University City’s new Assistant City Manager, Ms. Petree Eastman. One of her <br />tasks will be working with senior transportation. Mr. Price asked about the time <br />line for the Sutter-Meyer house. Ms. Ricci asked to have a study session on <br />liquor licenses and another one on the development of Olive. <br />3. Reminder of the need to prepare an evaluation format of the City Manager’s <br />position. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS <br />Carol Diaz-Granados, 7433 Amherst <br />Ms. Diaz-Granados commended the move of the founding members of the Sutter-Meyer <br />Society and encouraged the Council to consent to preserving the Sutter-Meyer historic <br />farmhouse. <br /> <br />Shelley Welsch, 7141 Delmar <br />Ms. Welsch thanked Council for asking the City Manager to move forward on preparing a <br />leasefor the Sutter-Meyer Society to lease for one dollar from the City, the Sutter-Meyer <br />farmhouse. <br /> <br />Greg Paulus, 4484 Westminster Pl <br /> <br /> <br />
