MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />May 7, 2007 <br /> <br />At the Regular Council Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers <br />of the City Hall, on Monday, May 7, 2007, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 <br />p.m. In addition to Mayor Adam s, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were City Manager, Ms. Julie Feier and University City High School’s <br />student liaison, Ms. Rachel Watson. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />Mayor Adams nominated Jennifer Stauber for the Board of Adjustment, seconded by Mr. <br />Sharpe, Jr. and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />SWEARING IN <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br /> <br />4. University City’s non-emergency Medical Transportation for Senior Citizens <br />Ms. Feier stated that she has learned of a funding problem with the senior citizen <br />non-emergency medical transportation. She asked Ms. Petree Eastman, Assistant <br />to the City Manager, to assess the current system and to secure transportation <br />alternatives for the future. Ms. Eastman was present to give an overall view of her <br />comprehensive report. <br /> <br />Ms. Eastman presented a summary of the present operation of the Senior Service <br />Board (SSB) of University City and its future. She then presented alternative <br />operations in existence available for senior citizen non-medical transportation. Ms. <br />Eastman reported that Mid-East Agency on Aging would not supply funding to the <br />SSB because they only service a small number of senior citizens who could be <br />D-4-a <br /> <br />
