Julie Waxenberg 7353 Princeton Avenue. Ms. Waxenberg stated that garages were a <br />necessity in St. Louis and that maintenance should not be an issue if a property owner asks <br />their neighbors to allow access. <br />Board members stated that a hardship had been demonstrated and the situation was unique to <br />the property in question. Board members also discussed the amount of overhang for the <br />proposed gable roof. The applicant stated that for previous projects he had built a reverse <br />gable, in which the sloped side of the roof faces forward rather than the gabled side. This <br />would allow for only eight (8) inches of overhang rather than thirteen (13) inches as shown on <br />the drawings. <br />The variance request was approved by a vote of five (5) to zero (0) with the condition that the <br />minimum setback shall be two (2) feet with a maximum roof overhang of eight (8) inches. <br />4.
