Session 1828 <br />December 17, 2001 <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt moved the reappointment of Traci Moore, Jo Seltzer and Calla Smorodin to <br />the Arts and Letters Commission for terms ending January 2, 2006. Mr. Sharpe <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENT FROM CREVE COUER MAYOR ANNETTE MANDEL: <br /> <br />Creve Coeur Mayor Annette Mandel announced that she was running for the 3r~ District <br />County Council seat vacated by Edith Cunnane. She wanted to introduce herself and <br />said that she looked forward to a successful campaign and possibly working for the City <br />as a future County Councilmember. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - CONSENT CALENDAR: <br /> <br />#1- Sewer Lateral Repair at 7225 Forsyth: Bids were received as follows for the repair <br />of a sewer lateral connection at 7225 Forsyth to the sewer main on the opposite side of <br />the street: <br /> <br />A. Brooks <br />Rescue Rooter <br />AA Quick <br /> <br />$14,585.00 <br />$18,283.00 <br />$26,480.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends accepting the Iow bid by A. Brooks in the amount of <br />$14,585.00 to complete this work. The cost is well above average since the <br />construction will include nearly the full width of Forsyth. The sewer lateral repair <br />program pays 90% of the cost on behalf of the property owner. <br /> <br />#2- Tree Pruning: The Forestry Division has requested pruning of 521 trees in various <br />locations throughout University City. $40,000 was set aside for the requirement. Bids <br />have been received for this purpose.
