Session 1830 <br />January 28, 2002 <br /> <br />#3- LOOP SOUTH SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION (pulled from consent calendar): <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff wished to change the originally recommended contract cost of $10, 000 <br />up to $13,000 to the sidewalk contract awarded earlier this year to Midwest Mudjacking <br />Inc. to place concrete on the south side of Loop South between the existing curb and <br />wall. This 3-foot wide strip would be usable by people exiting parked cars at that <br />location. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Munkel, Mr. Ollendorff explained that this would be paid from the <br />General Fund. Most of the costs will be recovered from the developer of the old Smith <br />Hardware property. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams announced that on Wednesday, February 13th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at <br />6701 Delmar, the University City Public Library, in the main auditorium, will hold a blood <br />and platelet drive. They will be giving donor prizes and cholesterol screenings.
