Liquor License, Kremer’s Tavern, 8141 Olive Blvd., denial was recommended by Ms. <br />Feier, City Manager. <br />. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />James Thomas, Lake St. Louis, MO <br />Mr. Thomas spoke on his behalf as property owner and applicant for the liquor license. <br /> <br />Steven Fluhr <br />Mr. Fluhr, attorney for James Thomas, spoke in favor of approving this liquor license. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to deny the liquor license, seconded by Ms. Brot and passed with two <br />NAY votes from Mr. Glickert and Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Introduced by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br />BILL 8935 — An ordinance authorizing the remise, release and quitclaim of the parcels of <br />land at 6429-6431 Cates Avenue to Parkview Gardens Association. <br /> <br />Introduced by Mr. Glickert <br />BILL 8936 — An ordinance fixing the compensation to be paid to City Officials and <br />employees from and after June 27, 2007, and repealing Ordinance No. 6648. <br /> <br />Introduced by Ms. Brot. <br />BILL 8937 — An ordinance fixing the compensation to be paid to the Fire Captains and <br />Firefighters from and after June 27, 2007, and repealing Ordinance No. 6656. <br /> <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Jeffrey Glickman, 7478 Amherst Ave <br />Mr. Glickman was present to address what was being done to better University City’s <br />school district. <br /> <br />Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel <br />Ms. Glickert said that the meetings and agendas of University City’s Boards and <br />Commission should be posted for the citizens to see and be able to attend. Ms. Glickert <br />also stated that University City’s code does not permit free standing liquor stores. <br /> <br />Ethan Schuman, 8258 Groby Rd. <br />Mr. Schuman was present to address the changes proposed to Ruth Park. He suggested <br />better marketing, more research, and discussion of ways to produce a more profitable golf <br />course rather than adding a new driving range, paid for by golfers’ fees. <br /> <br />Marion Baldwin, 7042 Canton <br />Ms. Baldwin addressed the issue of the University City’s deteriorating fence in need of <br />repair in her neighborhood which separates University City from Pagedale. <br /> <br /> <br />
