Session 1842 <br />May 20, 2002 <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READING: <br /> <br />BILL 8591 - AMENDING CHAPTER 15.04 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO THE BUILDING CODE, BY REPEALING SUBSECTION 1010.3 <br />THEREOF, RELATING TO BUILDINGS WITH ONE EXIT, AND ENACTING IN <br />LIEU THEROF TWO NEW SUBSECTIONS TO BE KNOWN AS "1010.3 <br />BUILDINGS WITH ONE EXIT" AND "1010.3.1 BUILDINGS WITH TWO EXITS;" <br />THEREBY AMENDING THE BUILDING CODE SO AS TO REQUIRE CERTAIN <br />BUILDINGS IN USE GROUPS R-2 AND R-3 TO HAVE TWO EXITS; <br />CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved adoption. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. The roll call vote was <br />as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Ms. Welsch, <br />Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number 8591 passed and became <br />Ordinance 6363. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked if the Council was interested in proposing any changes to the <br />following bill. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said that he had not had a chance to <br />review the recommended wording proposed by the proponent's attorney. <br /> <br />1. A bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5.72 OF THE MUNCIPAL CODE, RELATING <br />TO SELF-SERVICE LAUNDRIES AND DRY CLEANING ESTABLISHMENTS, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 5.72.020 THEREOF, RELATING TO HOURS WHEN <br />ESTABLISHMENTS MAY BE OPEN, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br />SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 5.72.020 HOURS WHEN <br />ESTABLISHMENTS MAY BE OPEN," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO SET EXTENDED HOURS OF <br />OPERATION; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was assigned #8592 and given its first reading. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved to go into executive session per RSMo 610.021(3) to discuss <br />personnel matters.
