detoured at Hanley Road north to Clayton Road, then east to re-enter I-64 east of <br />Skinker Boulevard. Westbound I-64 will be detoured at the Clayton/Skinker exit north to <br />Forest Park Parkway, then west to I-170 south to get back to I-64. During the detour <br />most side street access to and from Clayton Road will be closed, except for signalized <br />intersections at Big Bend, Bellevue and DeMun. For a full list of side street closures visit <br />www.thenewi64.org. The freeway closure will be in effect until 5:30 a.m., Monday, <br />August 20. While Bellevue, Boland and Highland Terrace are being rebuilt use Hanley <br />Road, McCausland Road, or Big Bend Boulevard to cross over I-64. The new structures <br />should be completed and reopened by early next year. <br /> <br />During the detour for the demolition of the bridges at Boland Avenue, Highland Terrace <br />and Bellevue Avenue the following side streets will be closed along Clayton Road: <br />1. Yale Lane <br /> <br />The Arundel Place, Aberdeen Place, Faquier Drive and Alexander Drive will be closed <br />along Skinker Boulevard. Travelers can also get up-to-the-minute traffic information on <br />interstates or major state routes by dialing 5-1-1 from most cell phones; if 5-1-1 isn't <br />available from your carrier, please dial 877-478-5511 (877-4STL-511). Travelers may <br />also route their trips around any ramp, bridge or road closures by using the MoDOT <br />"Map My Trip" tool at http://dist6.modot.mo.gov/mapmytrip/. We plan to have a Police <br />Officer at Big Bend and Forest Park intersection in case of backups and monitor trucks <br />on Forest Park Parkway. We have resubmitted our request for additional pedestrian <br />safety signage. Both St. Louis County’s update and my correspondence is attached. <br /> <br />50 Plus Housing <br />The St. Louis Area Home Builders are developing a program for . <br />They will be assessing six communities including; University City, Florissant, Fenton, <br />Des Peres, Chesterfield and O’Fallon in the hopes of providing recommendations and <br />best practices for the region. We met with Builders in hope of developing solutions for <br />residents desiring to stay in their homes but having trouble with maintenance and <br />service delivery. <br /> <br />Trolley Resolution and District Map <br />I have attached the proposed for your advanced <br />consideration. The Loop Trolley Company is requesting that the City pass the resolution <br />in order to file a petition in St. Louis County Court, which will then facilitate an election. <br />The Trolley Company is covering all of the legal and administrative expenses. The <br />election will not be citywide. The only individuals able to vote either live in or own <br />property in the district. The Court Clerk files with the County Board of Elections and the <br />St .Louis City Board of Electors. Should the joint district be approved Council will be <br />required to appoint two Directors to the District and the City of St. Louis will appoint two <br />Directors. The Board of Directors will be responsible for the oversight of the revenue <br />generated by the 1% retail sales tax generated within district. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
