Communication Equipment Annual Maintenance for Police, Fire and Central Garage <br />It was recommended to award it to Warner Communications for the portion of the <br />bid for the Police and Central Garage in the amount of $11,172. <br /> <br />4. Sewer Lateral Repair at 7270 Balson — It was recommended to award contract to <br />low bidder, K & D for $11,880: the owner’s share to be $1,313 and the City’s share <br />to be $10,567. <br /> <br />5. Demolition Bids for 1211 Meyer and 7356 Dartmouth — It was recommended to <br />award the Meyer demolition to low bidder, Mound City Wrecking for $6,000 and the <br />Dartmouth demolition to Diamond “H”, Inc. for $16,000. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved for approval of the Consent calendar, seconded by Ms. Brot and was <br />unanimously approved. <br /> <br /> Item #6 of the Consent calendar was removed for discussion <br />6. Investment Policy Single Issuer Limits — Mr. Ollendorff explained that it was <br />recommended by the City auditor not to have more than 50% of investments with <br />one issuer. <br />Mr. Price moved for approval, was seconded by Ms. Brot and was unanimously approved. <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #2 —Blackberry Avenue Speed Limit. The traffic commission recommended <br />the speed limit be reduced. The Council may request preparation of a bill amending the <br />speed limit. <br /> <br />Ms. Brot moved for adoption, seconded by Ms. Brungardt and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS: <br />Stephen Glickert, 7750 Blackberry <br />Mr. Glickert thanked the Council for their approval of their petition but wanted to be sure that <br />the police would enforce the new speed limit. Ms. Brot also recommended that the City <br />follow-up on Mr. Glickert’s request found in the Traffic Commission’s meeting minutes that <br />signs be posted stating, speed recorded by radar. <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />
