<br />Rule 9 – City Manager explained that she will used City Attorney almost entirely to create <br />ONLY CERTIFIES <br />ordinances. The City Attorney signing each ordinance upon passage <br />THE FORMAT <br /> is correct. He is not signing off on its content. <br /> <br />Rule – It was questioned why the rules say “shall the proposal be rejected. Suggested <br />change was be defeated however some felt that it should say all in favor, to reflect the <br />positive rather than negative. It was undecided as to final wording. <br /> <br />Rule 12 – An amendment can be added at any time until the final vote is taken for <br />passage. <br /> <br />Rule 14 – Citizens can fill out a request to speak form throughout the meeting. Request to <br />speak forms shall be placed in a well identified basket by the railing. The City Clerk will <br />gather these requests from specially identified basket. The time limitation for speaking will <br />remain at 5 minutes. <br /> <br />Rule 18 – Consistency in posting areas between Rule 18 and Rule 21. <br /> <br />Rule 20 – Wording needed to change as Legislative Docket is no longer being used. <br /> <br />Rule 21 – Posting in the rotunda Suggestion for rotunda area would be in a clearly marked <br />binder placed on the ledge of the receptionist desk. <br /> <br />Overall changes <br />1. to make everything gender free. <br />2. the use of Mayor be replaced with Presiding Officer when addressing the actual <br />meeting procedures as suggested by Ms. Ricci. <br /> <br />This meeting took place on August 28, 2006 from 5:30 – 6:25 p.m. and continued from <br />8:20 – 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Joyce Pumm <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />
