?
Ms. Ricci felt that Mr. Marmillion had more experience in local government and
would choose him for that reason.

Mr. Wagner seconded Ms. Brot’s motion to use Mr. Marmillion and was approved
unanimously.
Ms. Feier will send date options by the following Friday.

REMOVED ITEM FROM CONSENT CALENDAR
Consent Item No 4.
There was a request for the availability of purchasing just a
Natatorium pass. It was eliminated this year because of the availability of a combo
pool pass and the Centennial Commons membership included access to the
Natatorium, plus there was an option to purchase a 20 pass card to the Natatorium.
The Park Commission recommended a separate Natatorium Pool pass which will be
useable for one year form the date of purchase. The fees will be: Youth $55, Adult
$65, Family $100 and Senior $55.

Ms. Feier proposed holding the entire issue of the Parks and Recreation fee structure
until next Council meeting, October 23, 2006, when the Director of Parks, Recreation
& Forestry would be present for discussion. Mr. Sharpe, Jr. moved to hold it to the
next council meeting, seconded by Mr. Price and was passed unanimously.

CITIZEN COMMENTS
Debra Jones, 6720 Bartmer Ave
Ms. Jones felt it would be more user friendly if a 10 time pass for $24 is offered
instead of a 20 time pass for $48. Last year she used it 6 times and would go
elsewhere if only a 20 time pass were offered this year.

Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel
Ms. Glickert felt the fee proposals were very inequitable. She presented a
comparison with the proposed Natatorium pass, the Heman Park pass, and the
Combined Pass fee and the hours available for usage. She also agreed that there
should be a pass for 10 times instead of the 20 times card and it should be done
tonight at the Council meeting, since it was on the agenda.

Ms. Brot said that if we waited until next meeting, this would be limiting accessibility
for use. Mr. Sharpe said that the Park Commission did not study or discuss a 10 time
pass. Mr. Price agreed that it needed to be user friendly but thought all sides needed
to be studied. Mr. Glickert said that if you wanted it user-friendly it should be decided
right now not two weeks later.

Ms. Brot moved that we adopt a 10 card pass for $24 pass for the 2006 – 2007 with
the pass being available today. She said we could profit from the staff advice for the
coming year. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. The question was called and
approved unanimously. The motion was approved unanimously.

The Council decided that the next Council Session discussion would review the fee
structure with the Park and Recreation Director.
