<br />Ms. Feier said that Bill 8935 was pulled at the request of Land Clearance Redevelopment <br />Authority (L.C.R.A.) who asked to first market the parcel to area developers to see if <br />there was an interest in a housing development instead of donating the parcel of land to <br />Parkview Gardens Associations. Ms. Feier said that University City will be soliciting <br />interest from area developers for the L.C.R.A. to make recommendations to the Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner motioned to defeat Bill 8935, seconded by Mr. Glickert and this bill was <br />defeated unanimously. <br /> <br />BILL 8936 — An ordinance fixing the compensation to be paid to City Officials and <br />employees from and after June 27, 2007, and repealing Ordinance No. 6648. <br />Bill 8936 had its second and third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr. moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Wagner. <br />Roll Call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Mr. Price, Ms. Ricci, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Glickert, Ms. Brot, Mr. Sharpe, Jr., and <br />Mayor Adams <br /> NAYS: none <br />Bill 8936 became Ordinance 6891. <br /> <br />BILL 8937 — An ordinance fixing the compensation to be paid to the Fire Captains and <br />Firefighters from and after June 27, 2007, and repealing Ordinance No. 6656. <br />Bill 8937 had its second and third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr., and was approved <br />unanimously. <br />Roll Call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Ms. Ricci, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Glickert, Ms. Brot, Mr. Sharpe, Jr., Mr. Price and <br />Mayor Adams <br /> NAYS: none <br />Bill 8937 became Ordinance 6892. <br /> <br />Ms. Brot asked about the firemen’s pay as it pertained to the recently passed state <br />legislative bill affecting overtime pay. Ms. Feier said that any proposals to modify the <br />base and over-time provisions of the firemen’s pay were not addressed in this ordinance. <br />She said that bill 8937 pertained to the level of pay not on how they are paid. Ms. Feier <br />said that it may have to be addressed again later. <br /> <br /> <br />K. NEW BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTION 2007 – 6: University City’s Fiscal Year 2008 Budget and Approval <br />Mr. Glickert moved for approval of FY 2008 budget as amended under City Manager’s <br />Report, #3 Recreation Fee Schedule, order of business, and was seconded by Mr. <br />Sharpe, Jr. The voice vote was unanimous and the FY 2008 Budget was approved. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Richard Dockett, 6844 Crest Ave. <br />Mr. Dockett thanked Council for allowing early input from the citizens on University City’s <br />budget. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
